Indie Play Charts starts with a simple idea: discovery should leave room for surprise. The interesting part of a game can be its maker, an unusual rule or the people sharing the experience. Finding it should not require reading a wall of promises or trusting a score with no explanation.
We connect that curiosity with practical details. Our directory covers independent-game communities alongside browser portals and virtual tabletops; inclusion does not mean every title is independently made or free. The charts compare published access conditions, devices and costs. They are reference tables, not sales charts, audience rankings or a verdict on thousands of individual games.

Evidence has a visible boundary
This launch edition contains eight source-based platform reviews. They are editorial summaries of public publisher information, not reports from an accredited laboratory. We have not performed transaction tests, inspected private source code, measured gameplay latency or verified account synchronisation. Those distinctions matter: a working website is not proof of secure payment handling, and an attractive interface is not evidence of reliable performance. We publish no star ratings, numerical rankings or security certifications without a documented basis.
How editorial choices are made
Our editorial standard is to select relevant facts, explain limitations and identify the source of each substantive platform description. Publishers do not receive approval rights through inclusion in this directory. Mentioning a game does not establish a commercial partnership, technical integration or endorsement by its owner. Brand names identify the products being discussed; game artwork and screenshots come from credited official sources and remain the property of their respective rights holders. We do not operate the linked games, manage player accounts or supply payment services.
Commercial transparency
The pages in this edition contain no paid placement slots, affiliate tracking parameters, sponsored ratings or checkout facilities. That describes this release, rather than making an unsupported claim about the owner’s wider business or financing.
